1980: Pete Falcone and Neil Allen combine for a five-hit shutout as the Mets defeat the Cubs, 5-0, at Shea Stadium.
1982: The Mets defeat the Phillies, 5-2, in their first home game of the season.
1990: The Mets defeat the Expos, 4-1, in 10 innings at Montreal. Julio Machado gets his first major league win.
1993: In their first game ever in Colorado, the Mets defeat the Rockies, 8-4, at Denver's Mile High Stadium.
2008: David Wright hits his 100th career homer in the Mets' 9-7 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers.
