1963: Jim Hickman becomes the first Met ever to hit for the cycle in a 7-3 win over the Cardinals. Hickman's four hits come in the order of single-double-triple-homer.

1971: The Mets set a team record for runs in a game with a 20-6 win over the Braves in Atlanta.

1975: The Mets defeat the Expos, 7-0, at Shea Stadium. Tom Seaver pitches a complete game three-hitter despite having only three-days rest.

1993: The Mets split a doubleheader with the Pirates at Shea Stadium. Pittsburgh wins the first game, 2-1. The Mets win the second, 10-8.

1995: The Mets complete a four-game series sweep with a 5-2 win over the Marlins at Shea Stadium.

1996: The Mets score five runs in both the sixth and ninth innings to defeat the Cubs, 11-7, in Chicago.

2000: The Mets defeat the Astros, 6-5, at Houston. Derek Bell homers with two outs in the ninth inning to tie the game and Kurt Abbott homers in the 11th to win it.

2001: The Mets defeat the Brewers, 3-0, at Shea Stadium. Bruce Chen and two relievers team up for a two-hit shutout.

2008: David Wright hits his first walk-off home run, giving the Mets a 5-3 win over the Padres. The homer comes against his former teammate Heath Bell.
