From The Met Wiki
Billly Baldwin was an outfielder for the Mets in 1976. He batted .273 in 9 games with the team. Baldwin had four runs scored as a Met.
Baldwin came to the Mets with Mickey Lolich from the Detroit Tigers in a trade for Rusty Staub and Bill Laxton on December 12, 1975. He spent the '76 season at AAA-level Tidewater (Norfolk, Virginia) before joining the Mets in September. In his first at-bat with the Mets, Billy drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in the team's 7-3 win over the Phillies at Shea Stadium on September 4. He hit a pinch-hit homer in the ninth inning to give the Mets a 4-3 victory over the Cubs on September 24 at Shea. One day later, Baldwin hit a two-run triple and scored in the first inning to propel the Mets to a 5-2 victory over Chicago. He doubled and singled in his next two at-bats in the game, giving him a cycle in four trips to the plate over a two-game span.
In 1977, Baldwin played another season in the Mets' minor league system. He ended his career with the Pirates' AAA-level team at Columbus, Ohio in 1978.
