Don Aase

Don Aase was a pitcher for the Mets in 1989. He made 49 relief appearances for the team. Aase had one win, two saves and 34 strikeouts as a Met.

Aase came to the Mets after twelve seasons in the American League. In the '89 season opener, he pitched two scoreless innings and got a save in the Mets' 8-4 win over the Cardinals at Shea Stadium on April 3. Don had a pair of shutout innings to get the win in a 4-3 Mets victory over the Pirates at Shea on June 4. He also had one and two-thirds innings of scoreless relief for a save in the Mets' 7-2 triumph over the Padres on August 16 at Shea.

Aase completed his major league career with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1990.
