Ike (Isaac B) Davis is the Mets' top first basemen prospect. His father was Yankee pitcher Ron Davis. He is not related to former met Tommy Davis.

2010 Spring Training

Ike joined the Mets for Spring Training and 2010, and got off to a hot start, including a grand slam against the Cardinals in a 17-11 win. His early success prompted calls for him to skip AAA and begin the season with the big club, which is unlikely to happen.

Mets

On April 19,2010 Ike made his major league debut at Citi Field against the Cubs. He went 2 for 4 and got his first major league hit and his first RBI Single.

On June 8, 2010, Davis hit his first career walk off home run against the Padres Edward Mujica in the bottom of the 11th inning.

On June 12, 2010, Davis got his first major league stolen base off Baltimore Orioles pitcher Brian Matusz. It was in the top of the first inning with 2 outs after getting a infield hit and then stole the base during Jason Bay's at-bat on a 3-1 count later taken for a strike making it a 3-2 count.
