Jack Aker
From The Met Wiki
Jackie ("Chief") Aker was a right handed relief pitcher, who pitched for the A's for 5 years, in Kansas City and then Oakland. He was named Fireman of the Year with the A's in 1966, thanks to a 1.99 ERA and a (then) record 32 saves. He was taken by the Pilots in the expansion draft, then traded to the Yankees. He finished his career with the Mets in 1974, before succumbing to chronic back pain.
Aker managed in the Mets minor league organization from 1975 through 1982, winning league championships with single-A Lynchburg (1978) and triple-A Tidewater (1982). He was succeeded at Tidewater by Davey Johnson.
