1967: In the first game of a doubleheader at Shea Stadium, the Mets defeat the Cardinals, 5-4. Bud Harrelson scores the winning run on a wild pitch in the ninth inning. St. Louis wins the second game, 3-1.

1987: Terry Leach pitches a two-hit shutout as the Mets defeat the Reds, 5-0, at Cincinnati.

2009: The Mets defeat the Pirates, 9-8, in 10 innings at Pittsburgh. Ryan Church singles home Fernando Tatis with the winning run.

2010: Jon Niese gets his first major league double and RBI off the Nationals' Luis Atilano in the Mets' 5-3 win at Washington.
