1966: The Mets defeat the Giants, 3-2, at San Francisco. Al Luplow and Roy McMillan hit home runs and Ron Swoboda homers in the 10th to win it.
1974: The Mets defeat the Padres, 10-2, at San Diego. George Theodore, Rusty Staub and Cleon Jones hit three consecutive homers in the fifth inning. Jerry Koosman pitches a complete game and records his 1000th strikeout.
1975: Dave Kingman hits two homers and drives in six runs as the Mets come from behind to defeat the Astros, 10-9, at Shea Stadium.
1978: The Mets sweep a doubleheader with 7-4 and 5-4 (in 11 innings) victories over the Astros at Shea Stadium.
1985: The Mets defeat the Braves, 16-4, at Shea Stadium. Darryl Strawberry drives in seven runs with a grand slam and a 3-run homer.
1989: The Mets defeat the Braves, 4-1, at Shea Stadium. Rick Aguilera retires all ten batters he faces, striking out seven of them to record his final save as a Met.
1993: Howard Johnson hits his last home run as a Met in a 4-1 loss to the Padres.
2010: Josh Thole hits his first major league home run off Arizona's Barry Enright in the Mets' 3-2 loss to the Diamondbacks in Phoenix.
2011: Angel Pagan hits a home run in the 10th inning to give the Mets a 6-5 win over the Cardinals at Citi Field.
