1980: Pat Zachry shuts out the Braves, 3-0, at Shea Stadium. It is Zachry's second shutout of the month.

1996: The Mets sweep a doubleheader from the Pirates, 5-4 and 4-3. Todd Hundley homers in the 12th inning to win the second game for the Mets.

2004: The Mets make one of the worse trades as GM Jim Duquette sent Scott Kazmir to Tampa Bay for Victor Zambrano and Bartolome Fortunato.

2010: The Mets put Jason Bay on the disabled list and call up Jesus Feliciano.
