1963: Tracy Stallard pitched a complete game four-hitter in a 5-1 Mets win over the Dodgers at Los Angeles.
1980: Pat Zachry shuts out the Braves, 3-0, at Shea Stadium. It is Zachry's second shutout of the month.
1996: The Mets sweep a doubleheader from the Pirates, 5-4 and 4-3. Todd Hundley homers in the 12th inning to win the second game for the Mets.
2000: Bobby Jones pitches a complete game with nine strikeouts for a 4-2 Mets win over the Cardinals at Shea Stadium. The victory finishes off a four-game series sweep.
2003: Al Leiter and David Weathers combine for 10 strikeouts in a 2-0 Mets win over the Brewers at Shea Stadium.
2004: The Mets trade pitcher Scott Kazmir to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays for Victor Zambrano and Bartolome Fortunato.
