1969: The Mets trade Kevin Collins, Steve Renko, Jay Carden and Dave Colon to the Montreal Expos for Donn Clendenon.
1973: Wayne Garrett hits a three-run homer in the eighth inning to give the Mets a 5-2 win over the Padres at Shea Stadium.
1977:
- The Mets trade Tom Seaver to the Reds for Pat Zachry, Doug Flynn, Steve Henderson and Dan Norman.
- The Mets trade Dave Kingman to the San Diego Padres for Bobby Valentine and Paul Siebert.
- The Mets trade Mike Phillips to the St. Louis Cardinals for Joel Youngblood.
1979: The Mets trade Mike Bruhert and Bob Myrick to the Texas Rangers for Dock Ellis.
1983: The Mets acquire Keith Hernandez from the Cardinals for Neil Allen and Rick Ownbey.

1995: The Mets score three runs in the ninth and one in the tenth for a 5-4 comeback win over the Marlins at Shea Stadium.
1999: The Mets hit six home runs in an 11-3 win over the Reds at Cincinnati.
2002: The Mets defeat the Yankees, 8-0 at Shea Stadium. Shawn Estes gets the win and hits a home run off Roger Clemens.
2003: Steve Trachsel pitches a one-hit shutout in the Mets' 8-0 win over the Anaheim Angels. Jose Reyes hits a grand slam and records his first career stolen base. Jeromy Burnitz hits two home runs.
2006: The Mets defeat the Phillies, 5-4, to complete a sweep of a three-game series in Philadelphia.
2007: The Mets defeat the Yankees, 2-0, in the Bronx. Jose Reyes drives in both runs with a single and a homer.
2008: Robinson Cancel hits a two-run single to put the Mets ahead to stay in a 4-2 win over the Rangers at Shea Stadium. It is Cancel's first major league hit in nine seasons. The victory gives the Mets a split of a doubleheader.
