1964: In the first game of a doubleheader, the Mets come from behind for a 6-5 victory over the Cubs in 12 innings. It is the Mets' first ever extra-inning win at Shea Stadium. Chicago wins the second game, 5-2.
1973: The Mets defeat the Dodgers, 4-2, on Old Timers' Day at Shea Stadium. Rusty Staub hits two doubles to drive in three runs. Staub also charges in from the outfield to take part in a double play in the seventh inning.
1996: Jason Isringhausen pitches his only major league shutout as the Mets defeat the Marlins, 3-0, at Shea Stadium.
1999: Down 3-0, the Mets score three runs in the ninth and go on to defeat the Blue Jays, 4-3, in 14 innings at Shea Stadium.
2000: The Mets collect fifteen hits in a 12-2 win over the Yankees in the Bronx.
2009: The Mets defeat the Phillies, 6-5, at Citi Field. The teams combine for seven home runs in the game.
