1982: Randy Jones pitches a four-hit shutout as the Mets defeat the Astros, 2-0, at Houston. It is Jones' only shutout as a Met and last of his 10-year major league career.

1998: Al Leiter shuts out the Brewers, 3-0, at Shea Stadium. Leiter's catcher is Mike Piazza, who plays his first game as a Met.

1999: The Mets score five runs in the ninth inning for a 5-4 comeback win over the Phillies at Shea Stadium.

2000: As a pinch-hitter, Mike Piazza hits a two-run homer in the 10th inning to give the Mets a 5-3 win over the Padres at San Diego.

2003: The Mets defeat the Braves, 6-5, in Atlanta. Jeromy Burnitz hits a grand slam and Tsuyoshi Shinjo throws out the tying run at the plate for the final out of the game.

2004: Tom Glavine pitches a one-hit shutout against the Rockies at Shea Stadium. The Mets win, 4-0.

2006: The Mets defeat the Phillies, 9-8, in 16 innings at Shea Stadium. Carlos Beltran hits a home run to win the game.

2009: Omir Santos hits a 2-run homer off the Red Sox' Jonathan Papelbon. The homer is confirmed after a video review and wins the game for the Mets.
