1964: The Mets defeat the Cubs, 19-1, for their most lopsided win ever. Each Mets' starter gets at least one hit and one RBI in the game.

1967: The Mets defeat the Braves, 1-0, at Shea Stadium. Don Cardwell pitches a three-hit shutout and Jerry Buchek homers for the only run of the game.

1975: The Mets defeat the Dodgers, 6-3, on Memorial Day at Shea Stadium. Wayne Garrett hits a three-run homer in the ninth inning to win it.

1990: Sid Fernandez and Alejandro Pena combine on a shutout in an 11-0 Mets victory over the Padres at Shea Stadium. Fernandez records his 1,000th strikeout as a Met in the game. The win is the last one for Davey Johnson as manager of the Mets.

1993: The Mets score four runs in the 9th inning to pull out a 5-4 win at Philadelphia.

2009: Mets top prospect, Fernando Martinez, plays his first major league game. Martinez goes hitless in three at bats in the Mets' 6-1 win over the Nationals at Citi Field.
