1972: The Mets come back from a six-run deficit for an 8-6 win over the Padres in 10 innings at Shea Stadium.

1976: The Mets trade Tom Hall to the Kansas City Royals for Bryan Jones.

1985: Howard Johnson hits his first home run as a Met and Gary Carter slugs a grand slam in a 5-3 win over the Braves at Shea Stadium.

1993: The Mets win, 4-0, in their first game ever against the Florida Marlins. Dwight Gooden pitches his last complete game shutout as a Met.

1998: The Mets defeat the Cardinals, 4-1, at Shea Stadium. Masato Yoshii records the win and drives in the winning runs with a two-run double.

2010: Rod Barajas hits Citi Field's first ever walk-off home run, giving the Mets a 6-4 win over the Giants. It is Barajas's third two-homer game of the season.

2011: Justin Turner drives in two runs with a bases-loaded single in the eighth inning to give the Mets a 4-2 win over the Dodgers at Citi Field.
