1971: Tom Seaver pitches a complete game one-hitter in the Mets' 3-1 win over the Pirates.
1992: The Mets lose to the Pirates, 19-2, at Pittsburgh. Infielder Bill Pecota pitches the eighth inning to become the first non-pitcher ever to take the mound for the Mets. For the Pirates, the win clinches a tie for the National League East Division title.
2007: Philip Humber makes his only start as a Met. He gets a no-decision in the Mets' 9-6 loss to the Washington Nationals.
2010: The Mets defeat the Phillies, 7-3, at Philadelphia. Nick Evans hits a two-run double and Carlos Beltran homers twice. The win delays the Phils' clinching of the National League East Division title.
