1963: The Mets defeat the Houston Colt .45s, 10-3. The Colts use nine rookies in their starting lineup.

1990: The Mets complete a three-game series sweep with a 6-0 win over the Expos at Montreal.

1995: The Mets sweep a doubleheader against the Reds, 5-4 and 9-2, at Shea Stadium. In the first game of the twinbill, Robert Person records his first major league win and gets two singles.

1997: Alberto Castillo hits a run-scoring double in the ninth inning to give the Mets a 2-1 win over the Braves at Shea Stadium.

2001: The Mets pound out ten doubles among their 19 hits in a 12-6 win over the Expos at Montreal.

2008: Johan Santana pitches a 2-0 shutout over the Marlins. It is the Mets' last win ever at Shea Stadium.

2009: Pat Misch pitches his first complete game shutout against the Florida Marlins. It is also the Mets' first complete game shutout of the year.
