1962: The Mets win their 40th game of the season with a 2-1 triumph over the Cubs at Chicago. Bob L. Miller pitches a complete game for his only win of the year.
1972: Tom Seaver wins his 20th game of the season with a two-hit shutout for a 1-0 Mets victory at Pittsburgh. Tom strikes out 13 Pirate batters in the game. Tommie Agee drives in the Mets' run with a ninth-inning single. It is Tommie's last RBI as a Met.
1980: Joel Youngblood hits a two-run homer in the 10th inning to pull out a 5-4 Mets win over the Pirates at Shea Stadium.
1981: The Mets defeat the Phillies, 7-0, in Philadelphia. Pete Falcone pitches a four-hit shutout and hits his only major league home run. Falcone also has a two-run single in the game.
1993: Jeff Kent hits a double to score Eddie Murray in the seventeenth inning to give the Mets a 1-0 win over the Cardinals. Kenny Greer gets the win in his only game as a Met.
2005: Tom Glavine pitches a two-hit shutout as the Mets defeat the Rockies, 11-0, at Shea Stadium. In the game, Mike Piazza hits his last home run as a member of the Mets.
2007: John Maine strikes out 14 batters and pitches seven and two-thirds innings of no-hit ball in the Mets win over the Marlins. The game lifts the Mets back into a tie with the Phillies for first place in the NL East.
2010:Mike Nickeas got his first two Major League hits against the Milwaukee Brewers at Citi Field.
