1969: Tom Seaver becomes the Mets' first ever 20-game winner with a 5-1 victory over the Phillies.

1983: George Foster hits a three-run homer in the bottom of the ninth to give the Mets a 6-5 win over the Phillies.

1990: John Franco gets his first loss as a Met, giving up a run and getting only one out in a 4-1 Mets loss to the Pirates.

2000: The Mets defeat the Reds, 3-2, in 10 innings at Cincinnati. Todd Zeile's home run wins the game for the Mets.

2010: The Mets defeat the Cubs, 18-5, at Chicago. Ruben Tejada hits his first major league home run.
