Shea Stadium was the home of the Mets from 1964 to 2008. It was demolished after the 2008 season. Sadly, they waited till after the second annual late season meltdown, and let the players leave before beginning the demolition. Shea's old location is now in the parking lot of their new home, Citi Field.
Before the Mets played at Shea they played at the Polo Grounds for two seasons.

The Mets were not the only ones to call Shea home. Other teams like the Yankees and Jets also played at Shea.
